Spring Riverside Gathering

A morning ride along the Ruamahanga River, suitable for riders with a range of experience who enjoy peaceful waterside paths and open sky.

Date: Third Saturday of each month (subject to change)
Start: Henley Lake, Masterton
Duration: Approximately 2 hours
Distance: Approximately 18 km loop

Dawn Country Loop

First Sunday monthly. A quiet early-morning ride through farmland roads east of Masterton. Approximately 22 km, moderate terrain.

Forest Margin Explorer

Second Saturday monthly. Shaded trails along native bush edges with a hilltop rest point. Approximately 15 km, gentle climbs.

Riverside Social Ride

Third Saturday monthly. Flat riverside paths suitable for newcomers to group cycling. Approximately 18 km, easy pace.

Evening Glow Ride

Last Friday monthly. A sunset ride through Masterton town paths and surrounding greenways. Approximately 12 km, relaxed pace.

What to Expect at Every Event

Come Prepared

Bring a well-maintained bicycle, helmet, water bottle, and weather-appropriate clothing. A basic repair kit is recommended.

Open to Adults

Our events are open to adults who enjoy group riding. No prior racing experience is needed. Coordinators guide the group throughout.

Stay Together

We aim to keep the group together and regroup at planned rest points. Riders should be prepared to ride at a shared group pace.
